Micro Sculptures by Willard Wigan

Willard Wigan is an artist who crafts incredibly tiny sculptures nestled into the heads of sewing needles.

When I saw these I knew I saw something about these before, and after a little investigation I was right. There was a TED talk by Willard Wigan, it is a fascinating talk where he explains his process which includes only painting with a fly hair between his own heart beats. (video below)

The video includes many of his other sculptures including The Hulk, The Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
